Hello Minh Thanh and thank you very much for your good letter letting us know a little about your situation there in Vietnamn ... and about your efforts to help your father in his concerns and in his interests to keep in touch with others outside your country.  I was touched just thinking about you likely reading and translating letters and discusing them with your father .. trying to arrive at ways to deal with the events arround you.  -- This is a wonderful picture of us all just trying to find a way to read our own situation into the thoughts and spirits of the teaching and mind of Christ.  None of us want to do the wrong thing yet, we are sometimes forced to make choices and stand for moral principles without the understanding of the people arround us -- even without the understanding of those we may have trusted in so many ways.  Being willing to stand for truth, even if we must do it alone is an important test of our faith.

You asked about my status regarding fellowship with 'Gods people' ... 'Gods people' is a concept that unfortunately sometimes workers tend to regard as simply people that are members in their own organization. I have learned that the spirit of Christ that I love, is not something limited to a particular organization ... and we have found it a wondrous  freedom to be allowed to love and appreciate folks amongst us without the limitation of  only being allowed to respect and admire folks that have 'proffessed' in workers meetings.  As Jesus disciples found, this wonderful Spirit of Christ is sometimes found in the most unlikely of places.

I have never for a moment regretted the choice we made to stand for truth  -- even when it led to our rejection by the workers.  God has been wonderful in his blessing of peace and satisfaction these last 12 years and opened up so many new avenues of fellowship for us  -- (although the workers have refused to visit us, even once,  ever since that time).

I won't tire you with our feelings --- but I just wanted to send a note to tell you how much I appreciated hearing from you, and I surely hope that all will work out according to Gods will for you and your father. Give him my kindest greetings please. We think about you every day.

Sincerly
Edgar Massey
