A letter from  Vu Trung Hien with an account of better times 14 years ago
2014-01-10

Thank you, EdgarMassey , for having the correct spelling of Vietnam and my first name.
During the past 30 years, since I settled in the USA, whenever I write anything on the newspaper or internet, I've always used my real name, for I believe that whatever I write down a sentence to share with readers, it has to reflect the truth, or at least, my true feeling.
And I take responsibility for what I am writing.

You mentioned Saskatchewan, where you grew up, and this name brings back the memory I had with Morris Grovum and Darrel Turner about 14 years ago, when I returned to VN the first time and visited Hanoi with my brother Vu Ngoc Chau.

Brother Chau and I spent the night at a cheap boarding facility for college students where we were both attacked by hungry mosquitoes which had a feast on our blood through the mosquito net !

If I remember correctly, either Morris or Darrel took me on their motor cycle to a Gospel meeting at a house in the outskirts of Hanoi, and told me the meaning of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan :"Swift Flowing Water"

It was a time when the 2X2 servants of God (Canadian and Vietnamese) still had their "honey moon" (both sides seemed to love and respect each other).

The next day, a newly-converted believer, Nhung, and her older sister, treated us to a very nice dinner at their house.

Nhung not only provided us with delicious food, but showed much respect for brother Chau.
I am quite sad to learn that recently, Nhung and the 2X2 believers in Hanoi have completely turned against Chau, to show their "loyalty and submission"to the current overseers !
